Dr Shea is an independently created beauty brand founded by Michael Blake, a London-based entrepreneur, former music artist of the group So Solid Crew, and a Qualified Personal Trainer (NVQ Level 3).

Important Notice regarding Nomenclature: The name “Dr Shea” is a brand title and does not imply that the founder or any staff member holds formal medical or scientific degrees in cosmetic science or dermatology. The brand name is a high-impact marketing tool rooted in personal experience and the founder’s journey from Accra to London.

5. Product Information and Sourcing

Our shea butter is imported from the founder’s family in Ghana and is hand-made in London.

Batch Variation: Because our products are natural and made in small batches, appearances, textures, and odours may vary from batch to batch.

Shelf Life: As a guide, our body butters typically have a shelf life of 12–24 months, depending on storage. We recommend storing products in a cool, dark place with the lid firmly attached.

6. Orders, Pricing, and Contracts

Contract Formation: A contract is only constituted once we have processed your order and sent you an invoice.

Price Instability: Due to global commodity market instability, we reserve the right to amend prices if stock is insufficient.

Surcharges: Orders below £50 (excluding VAT) are subject to a fixed £5 Small Order surcharge.

Cancellations: If you need to cancel an order, you must contact us within 24 hours of receiving your confirmation email.

7. Subscription Service

By signing up for our subscription, you agree to a recurring frequency of 1 or 3 months.

Benefits: Subscribers receive a 10% discount on every order and free UK delivery.

Flexibility: You may update, pause, resume, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal.

8. Returns Policy

Unopened Items: Unopened and unused goods returned within 30 days will be refunded.

Exclusions: Due to the nature of beauty products, we cannot accept returns on opened or used items unless there is a confirmed problem with the item.

Restocking Fee: We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee for returned items to cover custom preparation costs.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
